This is a one-day course on industrial sewing machines in our workshop in Ferndown, Dorset. The course costs £175. It is designed for people interested in any career using an Industrial Sewing Machine. During the course, you will learn how to operate industrial sewing machines, including the walking foot machine. You'll also understand the reasons for choosing a walking foot machine over other types. ​ The training will be hands-on, focusing on practical skills necessary for working with industrial sewing machines. You'll learn about different machine types, their functions, setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Safety and efficient handling of fabrics and materials will also be covered. We will cover everything from setting up the machine to servicing it. ​ The course will teach you how to identify and fix sewing defects and adjust machine settings, such as tension. You'll have the opportunity to practice on various fabrics and materials commonly used in the industry, giving you an idea of what you will be dealing with. ​ By the end of the course, you will have a comprehensive understanding of industrial sewing machines and their applications. You'll be confident in operating these machines, troubleshooting common issues, and producing high-quality stitched products professionally. It will provide a strong foundation for a career in the industry or starting your own business. We can also bespoke the course to what you want/need to do for your business so if you want to bring materials that you will be working with we can aim the course around that. ​ Accommodation is not provided, but there are many B&Bs within a 20-minute drive of the workshop. You can find options on booking.com and Airbnb. Travelodges and Premier Inns are also available within a 20-minute drive. ​ Course materials, tea, and coffee are included. You'll need to bring your own lunch, but there are nearby places to buy food.
