Course Description: ​ This course is specifically designed to provide individuals with prior experience in basic upholstery with more advanced knowledge and practical skills necessary to move on to more complicated seats and cushions. Throughout this course, you will focus on the essential techniques making sure you develop the knowledge and gain the confidence needed to take on any boat upholstery projects. We will cover quoting and pricing too. ​ Come and learn how to Upholster more complicated boat seats and Cushions while brushing up on using an Industrial sewing machine, patterns, stitches, patterning, piping, decorative stitching and loads more.​ Learn all the skills needed to be able to go away and upholster any boat seats and cushions with confidence. We cover things such as the curved cushions, more shaped cushions and seats along with the different types of foam and materials used in marine environments, cutting and shaping foam, measurements and patterning, cutting and sewing fabric for cushions and seat covers, installation techniques for attaching upholstery to boat interiors... A fantastic course if you want to be a marine upholsterer. All of our courses are designed to provide individuals with little to no prior experience in upholstery with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to start a career, hobby or even your own business in boat upholstery.  Accommodation is not provided, but there are many Campsites, B&Bs and Hotels such as Premier Inn and Travelodge within a 20-minute drive of the workshop. You can find other options on Booking.com and Airbnb. ​Course materials, tea, and coffee are included. You'll need to bring your own lunch, but there are nearby places to buy food, including a subway and a Greggs. When you leave the course remember we are still here to support you.
